Melissa Jones

 

Melissa Jones has been dancing since the age of three and studied at the Motion Mania Dance Center in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She performed with their youth companies and apprenticed with their professional company, Motion Mania Dance Theatre. Melissa graduated from James Madison University (JMU) in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in dance. She was a member of their pre-professional Virginia Repertory Dance Company and was a teacher’s assistant at the Mid-Atlantic Summer Dance Intensive hosted by JMU. During recent summers she attended the CityDance Ensemble Intensive, the River North Dance Company Workshop, and studied with the Joffrey Ballet in their Jazz and Contemporary Dance Intensive. She is currently teaching dance and working to obtain her license to teach dance in the public school systems.
